Chondroitin Sulfate

Chondroitin Sulfate

Definition: Chondroitin sulfate is a promising new supplement.
When combined with glucosamines sulfate, it helps to alleviate
the painful symptoms of osteoarthritis and can facilitate
cartilage healing and regeneration in affected joints. The
chemical constituents of chondroitin help to create spaces in
the matrix enhancing flexibility and cushioning by enabling it
to hold more water. Chondroitin is a naturally occurring compound
found in joint tissue. Initial data suggests that both
chondroitin sulfate and glucosamine sulfate may be the most
valuable and effective natural treatment for arthritis.

Applications: Osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, gout, lupus,
connective tissue diseases, bursitis, joint trauma.

Recommendations: Look for supplements labeled either chondroitin
sulfate or mucopolysaccriarides. These products should be
pharmaceutical grade to ensure purity and potency. This compound
is usually found in capsule or tablet form.

Note: Chondroitin sulfate should always be used in combination
with glucosamine sulfate.
